Web Site Index Page

The index starts right below the Streak-Backed Oriole photo, but if this is your first visit to PuraVidaBirds.Com, take a few moments to read the next two paragraphs which define the theme of our web site.

PuraVidaBirds focuses upon Costa Rica’s Guanacaste Province. While most birders fly into San Jose … the capital, and then visit the beautiful rain forests and Caribbean lowlands, this site focuses upon the Dry Forest Habitat near the Pacific Ocean. Your host (Rich Hoeg) is a naturalist from northern Minnesota Boreal Forest who has been visiting Guanacaste for years, and can remember when the Liberia Airport Terminal was only a small open air thatched roof building!

You will NEVER experience a pop-up advertisement, sponsored links, or paid content on PuraVidaBirds (this website).  Your host’s goal is to provide birding information not driven by the almighty dollar or colon. Content authored by other folks assuming it follows the rules outlined above is welcome. Guest authors may link to their own websites assuming a submitted piece IS NOT commercial in nature! Contact Rich Hoeg to inquire about a guest post.
